Description:

BiblioExpert represents a new direction for information literacy at the University of Ottawa’s Morisset Library.  This instructional program aims at offering incoming undergraduate students a “choose your own adventure” approach to library instruction.  It was developed in collaboration with librarians who contributed specialized workshop content on a wide variety of topics, from citing and referencing sources to leveraging social media for research.  Supported by a strong marketing and communication plan, BiblioExpert has exceeded the reach of previous programs.  This presentation will briefly outline the development of the program and illustrate how modest and targeted initiatives can generate enthusiasm and buy-in from multiple stakeholders, regardless of your institution size and resources.
