Sian Meikle is the Director of Information Technology Service for the University of Toronto Libraries, and works in broad consultation with many others to ensure the planning and implementation of library technology and digital services. Her department is responsible for the technology infrastructure, software applications and staff technology services supporting a responsive and agile digital library for the university’s varied user community, and it also provides infrastructure support to OCUL’s Scholars Portal. Her background lies in the development of web services for the library, digital scholarly resources in the humanities, and digitization.
Sian joined the University of Toronto Libraries in 1985, and has been in Information Technology Services since 1994. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto, and holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Zoology and a Master of Library Science. In her spare time, she enjoys making things with her hands.
