Shannon Barill works as a Library Clerk Assistant at Durham College and is in her final year of the Library and Information Technician program. She will be continuing her education by bridging her diploma into the BA Educational Studies and Digital Technology program at UOIT before pursuing her MLIS degree.
She has a strong interest in research and reference services as well as digital technology. She is currently in the concept design stages of a digital learning object that would facilitate project collaboration in the classroom or workplace. She is excited about connecting student needs with services at academic libraries. Shannon is also community-orientated and spends her spare time connecting to and supporting the arts, culture, businesses and people of her downtown urban neighbourhood.
