Peter has served on the Windsor Public Library Board since May 2012 as a citizen appointee of City Council.  Shortly after his appointment he was elected Chair, a position he still holds. With a goal of making Windsor Public Library the best public library system in Canada, Dr. Frise continues to provide the leadership and drive necessary for WPL to achieve greatness in an affordable and sustainable manner – while remaining transparent and accountable to the community. A Professional Engineer, he is Scientific Director and CEO of the AUTO21 Network of Centres of Excellence, Canada’s national automotive R&D program based at the University of Windsor. He holds BSc and MSc degrees in engineering from Queen’s University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University. When not consumed with his professional responsibilities, Dr. Frise admits to spending time navigating the many electronic resources available at WPL – and lists HOOPLA as his go to resource for entertainment.
