Trained as both a lawyer and a librarian, Dr. Wilkinson practised law before joining Western University and remains a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Awarded the Ontario Library Associations’s Les Fowlie Intellectual Freedom Award, she has written and spoken widely on copyright, is co-author on Canadian Intellectual Property Law (Toronto: Emond Montgomery; 2013)) and its upcoming 2nd edition, and has recently written on the period of protection for photographs and legal aspects of genealogy.
