Cecile Farnum has worked as a librarian at the Ryerson University Library & Archives since 2004. She has an MA in History from York University and an MISt from the University of Toronto. Until recently, Cecile has worked as the Communications & Liaison Librarian, a portfolio which included reference and subject liaison responsibilities, as well as writing and editing Library-related communications, social media, campus outreach and engagement, and participation in a lot of committees. She was recently seconded from this role to focus her time on a review of the Library’s liaison librarian model. In this new role, she will develop a framework to identify the required competencies of liaison librarians, ensure sustainable and equitable division of work, and improve faculty relations.
