Alison Smedley is a Public Service Assistant at the Ottawa Public Library. Alison holds a BA in Environmental Studies, and has 10 years of experience working in library services. She is currently a member of the adult services team at the Central Branch, and provides bicycle library services in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa. Alison is interested in the intersection of active living, librarianship and maker culture. Outside of the OPL, Alison volunteers with the Ottawa Tool Library, Hidden Harvest Fruit/Nut Rescue and high school outdoor education programs.
