Alison Brumwell has worked at Barrie Public Library for 13 years; 11 years in Information Services and the last two years as a Public Services Facilitator in the newly restructured department. She graduated from Queen’s University at Kingston with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education. In addition to working as an Occasional Teacher, Alison worked in Collection Maintenance at the McLaughlin Library, University of Guelph and in Circulation at Georgian College Library. Throughout her time at Barrie Public Library, she has served on several Union committees and was the Library Unit Vice-President at the time of the migration to a “one desk” service model.
