Following up on the success of “Ten Things You Should Know About Copyright” at last year’s Super Conference, the OLA Copyright Users’ Committee is back again to answer some of the frequently asked copyright questions from libraries on topics such as public performance rights for screening films, the “mash-up” exception for posting videos on YouTube, using images found through a Google search and more! To answer these questions, we will outline the different variables for consideration and break down the issues. Suggestions for libraries to consider in approaching these issues in their work will also be provided.
