Librarians have so many options; however, many of us feel that the field we start in is the one we must stay in. That is not the case. These three library graduates will discuss their journey through their career, starting in one facet of the profession (ex/ academic libraries) and ending up in a completely different one (ex/ vendor representative). They will discuss how to approach and embrace mid-career changes.
Outcomes:
– Understand the options that are out there for library graduates
– Learn how skillsets are interchangeable between different MLIS jobs
– Learn how to apply your skillsets to different environments
