Description:

Are you looking to spice up your information literacy sessions? Let your imagination and interests run wild! This workshop will tackle how to incorporate elements of film, television, literature, and pop culture into your teaching for a more engaged audience. We will discuss and plan handouts, sample searches, games, and activities to bring out the inner researcher in all of us. We will also examine the use of media (videos, gifs, vines) in information literacy instruction and how to go about finding that perfect one. Finally, we will discuss best practices, the time to get serious, and how to avoid faux-pas.

Come ready to discuss, get creative, and have fun!
