Description:

Have you ever looked over your shoulder on your way out the door after a long work day and pondered, “What did I even do today?” It doesn’t have to be this way – everyone can apply simple personal productivity principles in their work to get great results, enhanced focus and have more time to do the things they want. We’re going to talk about methods and tools that can be tamed and scaled to your personal preferences, can work within your unusual schedule, and can give you insights about the way you work that will surprise you.

Outcomes:
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed or frustrated with the state of your project list, the efficiency of committee meetings, or that general sense of malaise that can accompany a hectic, service-based work environment – come on in, and let’s talk about it.

Participants will learn about Chris’ first year (complete with numbers and charts) of working at McMaster University Library and how time management was critical to success. But more importantly, they’ll learn simple time management principles, as well as a set of free, fun and easy-to-use tools that can assist with streamlining meetings, project planning and prioritization.
