Description:

Inquiry and research are at the heart of learning in all subject areas in the Ontario curriculum. Beyond being a resource place and tech lab, what role do teacher-librarians and school libraries play in moving K to 12 schools forward with inquiry? How do we compete with, collaborate and even enhance the learning happening in GAFE (Google Apps for Education) environments? This session will share: a modified OSLA inquiry model integrated within a virtual library redesign; and examples of teacher-librarian programming and collaboration with classroom teachers that embrace an inquiry-based approach.

Outcomes:
Ideas for ways to deliver inquiry-based learning through library learning commons programming including examples of collaborations between teacher-librarians and classroom teachers.
