When: Friday, Feb 03 | 9:00 am - 10:15 am

Location: ICTC Ontario

Days: Friday. Event Types: Session. Sectors: Public Libraries. Subjects: Programming and Technology.

Description:

A librarian/volunteer technology coach shares her strategies on teaching technology skills to adults, specifically seniors. Basic troubleshooting tips, such as what to do when a machine is moving slowly, will be covered in order to give public service staff more confidence in addressing common problems.

Outcomes:
Confidence in fixing common computer problems when asked at the desk about an issue a customer is having like slow wireless or inability to locate a file. Also I hope to impart what knowledge I’ve learned in working with seniors and their new technology, often an activity that some feel forced into, onto others.
