Description:

More and more, students are entering college lacking basic digital skills needed to succeed. Mohawk College took a first step toward addressing this skills gap through the launch of the Digital Skills Toolkit — a collection of supports to help students learn about the technologies they may use while studying. The toolkit includes both web-based, self-paced modules and face-to-face interactive workshops. Come in and learn about the planning, implementation and delivery of the toolkit, and leave with ideas for how to tackle your own students’ digital skills gaps.

Outcomes:
– Reflect on methods to address students’ skills gaps
– Learn about project planning
– Learn about leveraging library skillsets to address college-wide issues
