Background: Online Learning Helps Libraries Address Key System Gaps:

The world is changing fast, and so is the job market – 42% of Canadian’s aged 20-29 are underemployed and living with their parents.  But traditional education isn’t keeping up and parent awareness is very low.  There are incredible opportunities for youth with STEM skills – 90% of top professions require STEM skills.  Libraries play a key role – it truly “takes a village!”  Online educational tools can help assess, educate, guide, and motivate students to improve their skills in critical STEM areas and ultimately succeed.  The best part is that they can be quickly and easily integrated into EXISTING programs.
