Description:

Agile is a project management philosophy that focuses on adapting to change and mitigating risk. As such, although it began in software development, all types of information organizations can benefit from the application of some or all of its concepts. In particular, the Scrum Framework will be discussed to give specific examples of how this philosophy of work is translated into the workplace.

Outcomes:
– Learn the basics of Agile and Scrum, the benefits of the core concepts versus traditional project management, – Discover ways information professionals can apply these concepts in their work and lives and next steps on learning more about the methodology
– Receive a primer on getting into working as a scrum master or other Agile project manager
