In May 2017, the Brampton Library will open its seventh permanent branch. Seizing the opportunity to reinvent the vision of the library, we also challenged our team to create a healthy workplace. Our efforts did not stop at simply building to achieve LEED Gold; we measured our environmental impact on surrounding areas and parkland, and then looked inwards to our patron and staff spaces. Brampton Library believes we have balanced all of the competing factors to create an iconic destination for our patrons and a workplace staff will be proud to call their own. Come on a journey as we share the process and results of Brampton Libraries Springdale Library and Community Centre.
